Well folks, here it is! The LAST DAY OF APUSH!!! We hope you have enjoyed the time you've spent in this class and I hope you feel it has been productive and you have learned. We wish you great luck on your exams and in the coming semester! Remember that the exam for this class will be 150 multiple choice questions, about a third of which will use documents, images, etc. NO written portion on this test!!! :)
We have a couple of final items for you before the exam - Mr. Hutchison's classes: Please fill out this form as a final reflection on your group projects. This is to be done INDIVIDUALLY, HONESTLY, and CONFIDENTIALLY! LINK TO FORM Also, please fill out this form reflecting on your experience in the class as a whole, Thanks! LINK TO FORM Thanks! H SNOW DAY #2!!!
At this writing, the final exam dates HAVE NOT been moved, despite the snow days. So that you can go ahead and start working on it, we have updated the final exam review/study guide and posted it on the "APUSH Exam Review" page of the website. There are 100 items on the review, representing the content that is covered by the 150 multiple choice questions on the exam (some questions ask different things about the same topics, accounting for the difference in number from 100 to 150). In the past, students that reported completing the review and using it as their primary study tool have performed much better on the final exam that students who did not and relied on other review methods. As for the project, I will meet with each team during class on Monday to assess your progress. We will scrap the presentation portion of the rubric and expectations and extend the due date to Wednesday at the end of class, with the understanding that you may split your in-class time between the project and working on the exam review. Thursday the entire class period will be for you to review and ask questions. You may look over your old tests and quizzes during tutorials next week (Monday and Thursday) and during class on Thursday. Those will of course be NO PHONES times! If you have any questions that you feel can't wait for Monday, please email me! Hope you've enjoyed the days off! H SNOW DAY!!!
With the recent interruptions to the schedule in mind, and given the fact that we are out of school today, and who knows what tomorrow holds, DBQ2 has been cancelled! Keep checking here on the blog for updates to other ongoing activities/final project/final exam review as we find out more about our schedule, if we will be in class tomorrow, and how makeup days will function. Enjoy the snow! H |
