After our brief break due to storms, we started out today with the Chapter 4 quiz. After the quiz we examined some documents related to the Enlightenment and Great Awakening and discussed their effects on Colonial America.  We also talked about writing thesis statements and you were assigned your practice essay question in response to which you should write a rough draft thesis statement tonight and post it on the appropriate board for your class by clicking the "Discussion Boards" tile on the main page.

Below I'm posting the construction example we used in class today and a small infographic on active and passive voice.  Also, don't forget that Chapter 5 is due tomorrow.
