The breadth and depth of changes to the planet resulting from the Columbian Exchange was our primary topic today.  We started off by discussing your Chapter 2 reading and notes, and ended the day talking about writing document analyses using the HAPP format.  I have posted the description of each of the four sections of an HAPP analysis below.  You need to complete a practice analysis of the document by Bartolome De Las Casas under the  DocBlock Recitations heading on the "Period 1" page of this website (or at THIS LINK).  A good analysis is written in complete sentences, is detailed and specific, and takes about the front of one page to complete.  We will debrief and critique your practice attempts on Monday.  Also, don't forget that your Chapter 3 notes are due Monday as well.  Have a great weekend!
