Online Q&A Sessions, 3/23/2020

3/23/2020

A couple of notes from today's video chats:
  • The Governor has announced no in-person school until at least May 15
  • This week we will be offering optional video sessions at 10am every day where we will discuss some of the content and go over some documents.
  • I will post the documents for Tuesday's session within the hour here on the Blog
  • We will begin "remote learning" next week, until then, there are no required or assessed activities.
  • We are working on making our online learning experience for this class this week and your feedback on our 10am sessions will help us with that!
  • We don't know if the district will provide a specific online platform for our assessments or not, if they do not, we have a coupe of options we are already exploring.  Your assessments will measure the same skills that the in-class ones were designed to measure, but the format may be different.  We will explain as clearly and completely as possible what our assessments will look like as soon as we know.
  • This is true for makeup work as well
  • Please make sure you have posted your online portions of the LAST scored discussion (Mexican War) by NEXT Wednesday.
  • There is a faculty meeting this Wednesday so we will hopefully have more details to answer questions at the Wednesday 1:00 Q&A session.
