Today we finished up the last thoughts about yesterday's Indian Removal Editorials analysis then proceeded to do some historiographical comparisons of four different historian's points of view on Andrew Jackson and the expansion of democracy.  We also viewed a short video selection featuring some historian's debating the role of slavery in Jackson's America which included two of the historians we had read: Robert Remini and Daniel Feller; and a firey response from UNC's own Harry Watson.

Remember that Chapter 9 is due tomorrow and we will begin working with the material covered in that chapter first thing.

PS - I added a "Marshall Court" document to the powerpoint section of period 4 for your perusal.
