Today we continued our discussion of the early to mid 1800's with an exploration of the causes and effects of transcendentalism and the Second Great Awakening.  We completed a Docblock Recitation over a document by Charles Finney then analyzed and discussed the meaning of some data on the emerging new economy and society of the market revolution.  We ended with a lit circle activity where we examined four different documents representing four different reform issues from the time period.

Tomorrow is your second in-class LEQ essay!  There is a different question each class period, but all will be drawn from the topics we have addressed this week.
