The topic today was primarily Pre-Columbian Native American cultures. After a table team discussion over your Chapter 2 noters, we dove into a set of primary and secondary sources which revealed details about the society and culture that existed along the East coast of North America at the time of contact with English Settlers. Afterwards we covered a brief summary of the history of Indigenous societies in North America. The most significant take-away from that discussion was that there was enormous change over time and that the peoples in North America developed complex, sophisticated, and diverse societies which impressed and even awed the first Europeans ton contact and record them. Don't forget, Chapter 3 is due on Friday! -H
