December 3, 2019

12/3/2019

The Vietnam War was today's topic as we opened the day with a DocBlock examination of two opposing points of view expressed by Lyndon Johnson and Eugene McCarthy.  We next discussed the Gulf of Tonkin as an initiating event for expansive American involvement in the war under Johnson.  We ended up b y looking first at reasons for opposition to the war and then at how the war is presented in textbooks around the world.

We will finish up our Vietnam War discussion tomorrow.  Chapter Readings #5 are due Thursday and Readings #6 on Friday.
