NOTE!!!  The scored discussion next Thursday will cover the topic of Manifest Destiny.  The documents, etc. for this discussion are on the Period 5 page of the site.  Unfortunately there was an old discussion still active on the Period 4 page and a few people started looking at that issue yesterday.  We apologize for the confusion, but since there is still plenty of time before the discussion, please prepare for the discussion posted on the Period 5 page.  Thanks!

Today we finished up our discussion of the reform movements in antebellum America bu completing our DocBlock Lit Circle discussion.  We then looked at the changes to American society and economics represented by the Market Revolution by analyzing some data from the time.  We wrapped up the day looking at differing interpretations of Jacksonian Democracy from four different historians.

This weekend, you need to finish any work on those interpretations your class did not get to before the end of the day.  You also need to have Chapter 12 ready for Monday as well as reading the selection "Rock, Paper, Scissors" by Jill Lepore under Period 5 on the website.  Last of all, if you have time, you can continue prep work for next Thursday's Scored Discussion (remember, you do not have school next Wednesday!)
