September 23, 2019

9/23/2019

Mr. Hutchison was out last Friday and was without internet access over the weekend, so apologies for the lack of a blog post at that time.  Today was dedicated to wrapping up our conversations over the ratification of the Constitution with an analysis of the debates in the New York state ratification convention.  We then discussed Hamilton's economic plan and the resulting Whiskey Rebellion, then wrapped up the day with a textbook notes guided brainstorm over the major issues Washington faced during his presidency and an activity explaining and illustrating one of those issues with a political cartoon.

Tomorrow we will wrap up Washington's presidency and talk about John Adams as president as well.  Wednesday will be your first exam!

NOTE:  For Mr. Hutchison's classes, the list off items that will be graded on Wednesday during the exam are posted below.
