We were back today after our extended weather weekend and we dove right in to discussing the many possible causes of the Salem witch panic of 1692. We used a variety of brief primary sources and historical data to compile the causes list then evaluated their relative significance.
We we also spent some some me describing the nature and purpose of historical writing, especially compared to writing you have learned in other classes. You can’t find the slideshow we used today’s on this website on the “Writing Tips” page. The last activity of the day involved analyzing and interpreting some historical information from maps and data sets. You can find the documents we used on the website under Period 2 to complete anything you did not finish in class. Tonight you you need to read the selection by Jonathan Edwards, “Sinners in the hands of an Angry God” found need Period 2 and answer the associated questions.
