Today was our second scored discussion, this time over the links between Manifest Destiny and the Mexican-American War.  There was some good discussion, but next time, I'd like you to spend a bit more of your time interrogating the historians.  What do you think about the way they have structured their arguments?  What about their use of evidence?  How would each historian account for the evidence selected by the other?

Tomorrow is the ACT test, so everyone needs to remember to bring a photo ID tomorrow.  Also, the testing means we will not have class for 1st through 3rd periods.  Don't forget that Wednesday, Chapter 12 is due, Chapter 14 is due on Thursday, and Chapter 15 on Friday!

The online follow up portion of today's discussion will be opened later today and will close Sunday night at Midnight!!!  Make a plan now so that you aren't posting your comments at the very last minute!!!
