Our topic for today was the effects of the Revolution on various populations within America.  We took both a personal approach to understanding these effects through primary sources from Joseph Plumb Martin exploring class issues, and letters from Abigail Adams and her husband John exploring women's issues at the writing of the Declaration of Revolution.  We also used the metaphor of a recipe to conceptualize the various historical events and developments that collectively comprise what we call the American Revolution.

We ended class with a few notes on how to write body paragraphs for essays in this class.  Tonight you need to write a rough draft of ONE body paragraph for peer critique tomorrow.  Don't forget that chapter 7 is also due tomorrow!
