Three Weeks Out...

Reviewing for the AP Exam
Happy three weeks until the APUSH exam.

Fall students should be well into reviewing through videos, books, your notes, etc.  We will hold a review session Wednesdays 4/19 and 4/26 from 2:30-4:30, as well as a briefer one during lunch Tuesday 4/25 if you can’t make it Wednesday.  These sessions will be a broad review of format, style, and strategies for the AP Exam.  They will NOT be a content review of everything up until this point, though there will be time for questions. You can find the slides we’ll be going through here:

You are going to do great.  Check out the “APUSH Exam Review” section of our site, paying special attention to the Curricular Framework by Collegeboard.  Please remember that since the 2015 reformatting, the APUSH exam does NOT emphasize trivia, and is instead about applying the critical thinking skills to contextualize stimuli (including paragraphs, charts, images, etc) into the broad AP themes.  As such, we don’t especially recommend going over old tests, as that is a less efficient way to review content than the many other resources available.  Old writing is available if you want to review it during tutorials or after school by appointment.

There is also a free “AP Prepathon” course online this Saturday 4/22 from 1-5pm on kaptest.com/apprepathon (where I believe they want you to sign-up beforehand).

Work hard, have a plan and stick to it, take care of yourself with lots of sleep and rest.  I believe in you and know you will do your best.  HAPP-y studying!
