World War I was the topic today as we first explored the effects on Americans on the home front.  We spent some time talking about the causes of the war as well as the reasons for America's entry into the conflict.  we also had a brief conversation about the Sedition Act which was designed to tamp down dissent and was upheld numerous times by the Supreme Court.  

Tomorrow we will begin talking about the 1920's and also take a few minutes to refresh your memory on the process of writing DBQ essays.  Make sure you have Chapter 24 read as well!
