Quiz # 6 is now in the books, meaning we only have four more quizzes to go!  Before we get there however, we have our second exam next Tuesday!  It will primarily cover information we have studied since the last exam, but expect there to be a few comprehensive questions reviewing earlier material as well.  As always, it will be 55 multiple choice questions in 55 minutes plus two short answers (four to choose from) in 25 minutes.  The exam will go on NEXT quarter's grades!

Today we also did a DocBlock on the essay "Impending Crisis on the South" by Hinton Helper. Tonight's homework is to write a two paragraph position paper including two points of comparison and/or contrast between Helper's essay and this weekend's DocBlock document by George Fitzhugh. Your comparison or contrast MUST use an analysis of H, A, P, or P in the documents to support your contention!

Tomorrow we will be in the computer lab to complete a webquest on the Civil War.  1st period should report directly to the Media Center, 4th period should report directly to Mod 4,       Room 3!!!

Don't forget the ongoing assignments: Tomorrow night the online comments on the first scored discussion are due by midnight, Thursday we will have our second scored discussion and you can find the reading under Period 5, and Friday your Mapping Routes to Freedom projects are due.  Monday you DO NOT HAVE SCHOOL :) but have your Doc & Skills blocks ready to be graded during the exam on Tuesday.
