Reconstruction was the theme for today as we wrapped up the last details of Period 5 and the material covered in next Tuesday's exam!  I also collected the Mapping Routes to Freedom projects, which will be on NEXT Quarter's grades.  Make sure this week you have all of the DocBlock and SkillBlock assignments completed and NEATLY filed in your binders so I can grade those while you take the exam Tuesday.  The exam will cover chapters 11-22 and everything we have done in and out of class since the last exam.  There are three or four questions from the first part of the  year, but the majority of the exam focuses on Periods 4 & 5.  As always, it will be 55 multiple choice in 55 minutes, 2 short answers pulled from 4 choices in 25 minutes.  Despite the exam Tuesday, please enjoy your extended weekend!

There is a chance that the opportunity of becoming a soldier may have been better than the opportunities these people had before hand. They might not have also known about the conditions of the war before joining.
