Busy day today as we dealt with alternate bell schedules, extended and shortened classes and crazy amounts of material and skills in class. We used a variety of approaches to experience, evaluate and order the wealth of events and historical implications arising out of the Jacksonian Era. We worked on thesis statements, historical periodization, causes and effects, continuities and changes, political cartoon analysis and interpretation, and summation and categorization of the significant issues during Jackson's presidency. A lot of good, higher level work today!
Tonight you need to finish up a few things if you didn't get them completed in class: The thesis rewrites and the Jackson Summary charts. You also need to go to the Period 4 materials, and under DocBlock you will find a document called "Whigs and Democrats." You need to read and answer the questions. These will be due tomorrow! By the way, the DBQ will be THURSDAY NEXT WEEK due to the pep rally on Friday!! Also, Chapter 17 has been REMOVED from the quiz on Monday and moved to the following Monday's quiz!! H
