Today we discussed your Ch. 3 notes, examined the shipping manifests of vessels headed to early Virginia and Massachusetts Bay, and ended by examining the relative wealth and life expectancy of English colonists.  Well done!

For homework tonight, please read the two following documents:
  1. Contemporary Powhatan response to Pocahontas stories
  2. Indian Slavery in South Carolina

Until tomorrow...

Do you want us to take notes on both articles or just read?

Hopefully we are teaching you some reflective learning practices, so though notes are not required and will not be graded, you might want to record your thoughts as you read the documents so you have them to return to as you study and prepare for discussions.

Alright, thanks! I was planning to do notes, just didn't know if you were taking them up or not. :)
