We discussed Chapter 16 and Reconstruction today briefly before completing Theme Team posters for Period 5: 1844-1877.  I will post the theme posters images later this week.  After those activities, we spent the majority of class looking at a set of documents reflecting the American Experience from 1776 to 1876 through the lens of the Fourth of July.  You will have a few minutes at the start of class tomorrow to complete your analysis and then we will share our conclusions.  Also, don't forget Chapter 17 is due tomorrow!

Check the class calendar (Linked HERE and ALWAYS in the navigation pane above!) for the due dates of upcoming Chapters.  We are shifting due dates to more closely align with what we are planning in class each day!

Lastly, your third scored discussion will be this Friday!  You can find the document under Period 6.  It is by Ned Blackhawk and is a MUCH shorter reading that your previous discussions.  The usual pre-writing paper is still due, however.
